1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3141
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3141 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Department of Central Management Services
5 Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by
6 adding Section 217 as follows:

7     (20 ILCS 405/217 new)
8     Sec. 217. Global Warming Potential. The Department of
9 Central Management Services, the Capital Development Board,
10 and the Department of Transportation shall jointly establish a
11 maximum acceptable Global Warming Potential (GWP) standard for
12 State purchases of appliances and building materials for use
13 in State-funded infrastructure projects. The GWP standard
14 shall include an analysis that includes a life cycle
15 assessment.".
