SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 405/217 new

Amends the Department of Central Management Services Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department shall establish a maximum acceptable Global Warming Potential (GWP) standard for State purchases of vehicles, appliances, and building materials for use in State-funded infrastructure projects.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Central Management Services Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 217 as follows:

(20 ILCS 405/217 new)

Sec. 217. Global Warming Potential. The Department shall establish a maximum acceptable Global Warming Potential (GWP) standard for State purchases of vehicles, appliances, and building materials for use in State-funded infrastructure projects.
