Amends the Civil Administrative Code with respect to the
powers and duties of the Department of Public Health.
Requires the Department to establish an ovarian cancer
information program. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT to amend the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois
2 by adding Section 55.84.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 55.84 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 2310/55.84 new)
8 Sec. 55.84. Ovarian cancer; Cancer Information Service.
9 The Department of Public Health, in cooperation with the
10 Cancer Information Service, shall promote the services of
11 the Cancer Information Service in relation to ovarian
12 cancer.
