LRB9004855MWpc HB1261 Engrossed LRB9004855MWpc 1 AN ACT concerning State land. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. Upon the payment of the sum of $1.00 to the 5 State of Illinois, the Director of Mental Health and 6 Developmental Disabilities (before July 1, 1997) or the 7 Secretary of Human Services (on and after July 1, 1997) is 8 authorized to convey to the County of Kankakee by quit claim 9 deed, all right, title, and interest of the State of Illinois 10 in and to the following described real property, to wit: 11 A part of the North Half of the South Half of the 12 Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 30 North, Range 13 13 West of the 2nd P.M. in Kankakee County, Illinois, 14 described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of 15 the East right-of-way line of Illinois Route 49 with the 16 North line of the South Half of the South Half of the 17 Southwest Quarter of said Section 8; thence North 18 00䓎'25" West along said East right-of-way line a 19 distance of 300.00 feet to a point; thence South 20 88䓦'15" East a distance of 1,452.57 feet to a point; 21 thence South 00䓎'25" East a distance of 300.00 feet to 22 a point; thence North 88䓦'15" West along the North line 23 of the South Half of the South Half of the Southwest 24 Quarter of said Section 8 a distance of 1,452.57 feet to 25 the point of beginning, SUBJECT TO rights-of-way for 26 roads, drainage, and easements apparent or of record, AND 27 SUBJECT TO survey. 28 Section 10. The conveyance of real property authorized 29 by Section 50 shall be made subject to the express condition 30 that the property be used for the construction of a county 31 jail facility, and that if the grantee fails to use the HB1261 Engrossed -2- LRB9004855MWpc 1 property for this purpose the title to the property shall 2 revert to the State of Illinois. 3 Section 15. The Director of Mental Health and 4 Developmental Disabilities (before July 1, 1997) or the 5 Secretary of Human Services (on and after July 1, 1997) shall 6 obtain a certified copy of the portions of this Act 7 containing the title, the enacting clause, the effective 8 date, the appropriate Section or Sections containing the land 9 descriptions of property to be transferred or otherwise 10 affected, and this Section within 60 days after its effective 11 date, and, upon receipt of the payment required by the 12 Section or Sections, if any payment is required, shall record 13 the certified document in the Recorder's Office in the 14 appropriate county. 15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 16 becoming law.
