1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1212
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1212, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment
4 No. 1, on page 2, line 25, by replacing "900" with "10"; and
5 on page 3, by inserting below line 1, the following:
6 "Section 50. Upon the payment of the sum of $1.00 to the
7 State of Illinois, the Director of Mental Health and
8 Developmental Disabilities (before July 1, 1997) or the
9 Secretary of Human Services (on and after July 1, 1997) is
10 authorized to convey to the County of Kankakee by quit claim
11 deed, all right, title, and interest of the State of Illinois
12 in and to the following described real property, to wit:
13 A part of the North Half of the South Half of the
14 Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 30 North, Range
15 13 West of the 2nd P.M. in Kankakee County, Illinois,
16 described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of
17 the East right-of-way line of Illinois Route 49 with the
18 North line of the South Half of the South Half of the
19 Southwest Quarter of said Section 8; thence North
20 00䓎'25" West along said East right-of-way line a
21 distance of 300.00 feet to a point; thence South
22 88䓦'15" East a distance of 1,452.57 feet to a point;

1 thence South 00䓎'25" East a distance of 300.00 feet to
2 a point; thence North 88䓦'15" West along the North line
3 of the South Half of the South Half of the Southwest
4 Quarter of said Section 8 a distance of 1,452.57 feet to
5 the point of beginning, SUBJECT TO rights-of-way for
6 roads, drainage, and easements apparent or of record, AND
7 SUBJECT TO survey.
8 Section 55. The conveyance of real property authorized
9 by Section 50 shall be made subject to the express condition
10 that the property be used for the construction of a county
11 jail facility, and that if the grantee fails to use the
12 property for this purpose the title to the property shall
13 revert to the State of Illinois.
14 Section 60. The Director of Mental Health and
15 Developmental Disabilities (before July 1, 1997) or the
16 Secretary of Human Services (on and after July 1, 1997) shall
17 obtain a certified copy of the portions of this Act
18 containing the title, the enacting clause, the effective
19 date, the appropriate Section or Sections containing the land
20 descriptions of property to be transferred or otherwise
21 affected, and this Section within 60 days after its effective
22 date, and, upon receipt of the payment required by the
23 Section or Sections, if any payment is required, shall record
24 the certified document in the Recorder's Office in the
25 appropriate county.".
