AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2477

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2477, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 1, on page 7, by inserting below line 12 the following:

"(k-3) An automated traffic law enforcement system may not be installed at an intersection that includes an elevated overpass. A county or municipality must remove any automated traffic law enforcement system installed in an intersection containing an elevated overpass that was installed prior to the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General Assembly. As used in this subsection, "elevated overpass" means a elevated right-of-way structure, commonly used for the passage of trains, that vehicular traffic travels underneath of on a separate right-of-way and that uses pillars on the lower right-of-way for structural support of the upper right-of-way.".
