SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lillie Mae "Lil" Kruger of Chatham, who passed away on January 25, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger was born on September 14, 1951 in Rushville; she was the daughter of William and Alma Surratt Trimmer; she married her first husband, Ray Ogden; she married David Kruger on May 31, 1985; and

WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger was employed for many years at various state agencies; she retired as administrative secretary to the chief of staff of the Illinois State Senate; and

WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger was raised in the Methodist faith; and

WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, her family and friends, and watching her children's and grandchildren's activities; and

WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gene Trimmer; and

WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger is survived by her husband, David Kruger; her daughter, Jami (husband, Frank) Owens; her sons, Ryan Ogden (companion, Amber Severson) and Jeff (wife, Kerri) Kruger; her grandchildren, Kelsey and Brett Owens and Marissa Kruger; her sisters, Carol (husband, Mike) Snyder, Joyce Trimmer-Lindsey, Patsy (husband, Mike) Behl, Billie Jo Clayton, and Cindy Sheely; her brother, Gary (wife, Mildred) Trimmer; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and

WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger will be remembered by all who knew and loved her as a dynamic woman of tremendous love, energy, and inspiration who was admired by everyone; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Lillie Mae Kruger; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lillie Mae Kruger as an expression of our sympathy.
