SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Lillie Mae "Lil" Kruger of Chatham, who
4 passed away on January 25, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger was born on September 14, 1951
6 in Rushville; she was the daughter of William and Alma Surratt
7 Trimmer; she married her first husband, Ray Ogden; she married
8 David Kruger on May 31, 1985; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger was employed for many years at
10 various state agencies; she retired as administrative
11 secretary to the chief of staff of the Illinois State Senate;
12 and
 
13     WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger was raised in the Methodist
14 faith; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger enjoyed riding motorcycles,
16 traveling, her family and friends, and watching her children's
17 and grandchildren's activities; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger was preceded in death by her
19 parents and her brother, Gene Trimmer; and

1     WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger is survived by her husband,
2 David Kruger; her daughter, Jami (husband, Frank) Owens; her
3 sons, Ryan Ogden (companion, Amber Severson) and Jeff (wife,
4 Kerri) Kruger; her grandchildren, Kelsey and Brett Owens and
5 Marissa Kruger; her sisters, Carol (husband, Mike) Snyder,
6 Joyce Trimmer-Lindsey, Patsy (husband, Mike) Behl, Billie Jo
7 Clayton, and Cindy Sheely; her brother, Gary (wife, Mildred)
8 Trimmer; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Kruger will be remembered by all who
10 knew and loved her as a dynamic woman of tremendous love,
11 energy, and inspiration who was admired by everyone; therefore,
12 be it
 
13     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
14 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
15 her family and friends, the passing of Lillie Mae Kruger; and
16 be it further
 
17     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18 presented to the family of Lillie Mae Kruger as an expression
19 of our sympathy.
