1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 583
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 583, by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT regarding appropriations."; and by replacing
5 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
6 "Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much
7 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
8 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the
9 General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Illinois
10 State University to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses
11 of Illinois State University for the fiscal year ending June
12 30, 1999:
13 For personal services, including payment
14 to the University for personal services
15 costs incurred during the fiscal year and
16 salaries accrued but unpaid to academic
17 personnel for personal services rendered
18 during the academic year 1998-99............. $ 55,698,900
19 For State Contributions to Social
20 Security for Medicare........................ 1,123,600
21 For Contractual Services...................... 4,858,600
22 For Travel.................................... 456,000

1 For Commodities............................... 758,100
2 For Equipment and Library Books............... 3,802,000
3 For Telecommunications Services............... 741,200
4 For Operations of Auto Equipment.............. 115,600

9 Section 10. The following named sums, or so much thereof
10 as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and
11 purposes hereinafter named are appropriated from the
12 Education Assistance Fund to the Board of Trustees of
13 Illinois State University to meet the ordinary and contingent
14 expenses of Illinois State University for the fiscal year
15 ending June 30, 1999:
16 For Personal Services, including
17 payment to the University for
18 personal services costs incurred
19 during the fiscal year....................... $ 3,848,000
20 For Contractual Services...................... 4,742,900
21 For Commodities............................... 531,300
22 For Equipment................................. 299,300
23 Total $9,421,500
24 Section 15. The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as
25 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
26 Fund to the Board of Trustees of Illinois State University
27 for the operation of the Illinois Institute for
28 Entrepreneurship Education.
29 Section 20. The sum of $100,000, or so much thereof as
30 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
31 Fund to Illinois State University for costs associated with a

1 Women's Health Initiative within the Minority Research
2 Opportunities Center.
3 Section 9999. Effective date. This Act takes effect
4 July 1, 1999.".
