SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Shirley Jane Teetsov of Crystal Lake, who passed away on April 15, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Teetsov was born in Harvard to Burtic Dewey and Gertrude (Whaples) Deithloff on February 18, 1935; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Teetsov worked as a telephone operator at Bell and as a seamstress at the Strand Dress factory in Woodstock; she was also an answering service operator and customer service representative for the Speiss Company; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Teetsov was a member of the MC3 McHenry County Computer Club, where she served as secretary for several years; she enjoyed traveling and made several cross country trips with her husband; she loved to garden and had a creative mind that inspired her when she crocheted, knitted, sewed, and painted; she loved using the computer to communicate with friends and family across the country; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Teetsov was preceded in death by her parents; her uncle, Evert Whaples; and her grandparents, Elizabeth and Loren Putnam; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Teetsov is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jack; her daughters, Lee Anne (Ralph Clatterbuck) Fredericks and Susan Marie (Steven) Wegner; and her cat, Mia; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Shirley Jane Teetsov and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Shirley Teetsov as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
