SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Anthony "Tony" Wells of Crystal Lake, who passed away on February 9, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Tony Wells was born in Woodstock to Marvin and Irene Naslund Wells on November 7, 1942; he graduated from Crystal Lake Community High School in 1961; he served his country as a jet mechanic in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Texas and then France; and

WHEREAS, After his time in the Air Force, Tony Wells went to California and was hired as an airline mechanic by United Airlines; he worked at United in San Francisco for 20 years; while in California, he married Ann Foster in Los Altos in 1968; they moved to Chicago, and he continued to work for United for nearly 20 more years; he retired in 2005; and

WHEREAS, Tony Wells spent his retirement years helping and mentoring others; and

WHEREAS, Tony Wells was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Matthew; and his brother, Jim; and

WHEREAS, Tony Wells is survived by his wife, Ann; his daughter, Jennifer (Joaquin) Camacho; his son, Jeremy (Erik Wagner) Wells; his grandsons, Joaquin, Nick, and AJ Camacho; his sister, Janet (Craig) Narowetz; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Anthony "Tony" Wells and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tony Wells as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
