SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Glen Braden, who passed away on April 3, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Glen Braden served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam and Korean Wars; he retired after 26 years of service; he then worked as an inspector for the United States Post Office for 26 years; and

WHEREAS, Glen Braden was a member of the Moose and VFW in Gurnee; and

WHEREAS, Glen Braden and his wife liked spending winters in Ft. Myers, Florida, where they enjoyed traveling in their RV, boating, camping, fishing, and spending time with their family; and

WHEREAS, Glen Braden was preceded in death by his stepson, Richard Braden; and his brother, William Braden; and

WHEREAS, Glen Braden is survived by his wife, Lois R. (Holsapple) Braden; his children, Carl Braden, John Braden, Cheryl Griffen, and Glen Allen Braden; his stepdaughter, Robin Braden; his two grandchildren; and his many great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Glen Braden and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Glen Braden as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
