SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Glen Braden, who passed away on April 3,
42019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Glen Braden served in the United States Navy
6during the Vietnam and Korean Wars; he retired after 26 years
7of service; he then worked as an inspector for the United
8States Post Office for 26 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Glen Braden was a member of the Moose and VFW in
10Gurnee; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Glen Braden and his wife liked spending winters in
12Ft. Myers, Florida, where they enjoyed traveling in their RV,
13boating, camping, fishing, and spending time with their family;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Glen Braden was preceded in death by his stepson,
16Richard Braden; and his brother, William Braden; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Glen Braden is survived by his wife, Lois R.
18(Holsapple) Braden; his children, Carl Braden, John Braden,
19Cheryl Griffen, and Glen Allen Braden; his stepdaughter, Robin
20Braden; his two grandchildren; and his many

1great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Glen Braden and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
5friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Glen Braden as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
