1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 945
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 945, on page 4,
3 line 1 by inserting the following immediately after the
4 period:
5 "However, for township offices, the township clerk shall
6 certify to each election authority whose duty it is to
7 prepare the official ballot for the consolidated election,
8 the order of placement of the established political party
9 candidates for the consolidated election ballot based on the
10 order in which the caucus results were filed at the office of
11 township clerk. Caucus results shall be filed in the
12 principal office of the township clerk not more than 78 nor
13 less than 71 days before the consolidated election. The
14 township clerk shall, upon receipt of the caucus results,
15 endorse thereon the day and hour on which they were filed.
16 Results filed by mail and received after midnight on the
17 first day for filing and in the first mail delivery or pickup
18 of that day, shall be deemed as filed as of 9:00 a.m. of that
19 day or as of the normal opening hour of such day as the case
20 may be, and all results received thereafter shall be deemed
21 as filed in order of actual receipt. Where 2 or more caucus
22 results are received simultaneously, the township clerk shall
23 break ties and determine the order of filing by means of fair

1 and impartial method of random selection."
