1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 62
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 62 on page 1, by
3 replacing line 1 with the following:
4 "AN ACT to provide notification regarding employer
5 responsibilities under the federal Worker Adjustment and";
6 and
7 on page 2, by replacing lines 2 through 11 with the
8 following:
9 "(20 ILCS 1005/1005-60 new)
10 Sec. 1005-60. Advisory notice. Before September 30 of
11 each year, the Department must issue a written advisory
12 notice to each employer that reported to the Department that
13 the employer paid wages to 100 or more individuals with
14 respect to any quarter in the immediately preceding calendar
15 year. The notice must indicate that the employer may be
16 subject to the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining
17 Notification Act and must generally advise the employer about
18 the requirements of the Act and the remedies provided for
19 violations of that Act.".
