1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5627
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 5627, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment
4 No. 1, on page 3, immediately below line 10, by inserting the
5 following:
6 "Section 7. The release of easement under Section 5 is
7 subject to the City of Highland Park owning all other right,
8 title, and interest in the real estate underlying the
9 easement.
10 Section 8. If the real estate underlying the easement is
11 ever used for anything other than conservation and
12 recreational purposes, then the State of Illinois, with
13 respect to the easement only, has a right of re-entry for
14 breach of condition subsequent.
15 Section 9. The purpose of this Act is to ensure that the
16 subject property shall be used as open space solely for
17 conservation and recreational purposes.
18 The release of easement contemplated by this Act shall be
19 accomplished pursuant to an intergovernmental agreement among
20 the State of Illinois, the Department of Transportation, the
21 Department of Natural Resources, and the City of Highland

1 Park in which the City shall be required to provide
2 assurances satisfactory to the Departments that the property
3 shall be used only for the purposes of this Act."; and
4 on page 3, line 13, after "payment", by inserting "and full
5 execution of the required intergovernmental agreement".
