1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5627
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 5627 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
4 "Section 5. Upon the payment of the sum of $10 to the
5 State of Illinois, the easement for highway purposes acquired
6 by the People of the State of Illinois is released over and
7 through the following described land in Lake County,
8 Illinois:
9 Parcel 1: That part of Lot 18 in School Trustees'
10 Subdivision in Section 16, Township 43 North, Range 12,
11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying Easterly of
12 the Easterly right-of-way line of Route 41 (known as
13 Skokie Highway), in Lake County, Illinois.
14 Parcel 2: That part of the Northeast Quarter of Section
15 21, Township 43 North, Range 12, East of the Third
16 Principal Meridian, lying Easterly of the Easterly
17 right-of-way line of Route 41 (known as Skokie Highway),
18 in Lake County, Illinois.
19 Excepting therefrom the following described parcel:
20 That part of Lot 18 in School Trustees Subdivision in the
21 Southeast Quarter of Section 16, Township 43 North, Range

1 12 East and part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 21,
2 Township 43 North, Range 12 East of the Third Principal
3 Meridian, described as commencing at the Northeast corner
4 of said Section 21; thence North 00 degrees, 00 minutes,
5 00 Seconds East (assumed) 1230.27 feet along the East
6 line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 16 to the
7 point of beginning; thence North 89 degrees, 23 minutes,
8 17 seconds West 338.05 feet; thence South 00 degrees, 36
9 minutes, 43 seconds West 10.00 feet; thence North 89
10 degrees, 23 minutes, 17 seconds West 250.00; thence South
11 00 degrees, 36 minutes, 43 seconds West 225.98 feet;
12 thence South 40 degrees, 49 minutes, 13 seconds West
13 384.20 feet; thence South 25 degrees, 32 minutes, 30
14 seconds East 1923.89 feet along a line lying 150.00 feet
15 Northeasterly of and parallel with the existing Northeast
16 right-of-way line of U.S. Route 41 (Recorded as Document
17 No. 385225) to the East line of said Northeast Quarter of
18 Section 21; thence South 00 degrees, 40 minutes, 47
19 seconds West 339.48 feet to said easterly right-of-way
20 line; thence North 25 degrees, 32 minutes, 30 seconds
21 West 2995.93 feet along said right-of-way line to the
22 North line of said Lot 18; thence South 89 degrees, 26
23 minutes, 59 seconds East 1308.00 feet to the East line of
24 the Southeast Quarter of said Section 16; thence South 00
25 degrees, 00 minutes, 00 seconds East 94.81 feet along
26 said east line to said point of beginning.
27 Access Control Line:
28 That part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 21,
29 Township 43 North, Range 12 East of the Third Principal
30 Meridian and the Southeast Quarter of Section 16,
31 Township 43 North, Range 12 East of the Third Principal
32 Meridian described as beginning on the East line of the
33 Northeast Quarter of said Section 21, 339.46 feet North

1 (as measured along said East line) of the Northeasterly
2 right-of-way line of U.S. Route 41 (Skokie Highway) per
3 Document No. 385225; thence North 25 degrees, 32 minutes,
4 30 seconds West 1923.92 feet parallel with and 150.00
5 feet Easterly of said right-of-way; thence North 40
6 degrees, 49 minutes, 13 seconds East 384.20 feet; thence
7 North 00 degrees, 36 minutes, 43 seconds East 225.98
8 feet; thence South 89 degrees, 23 minutes, 17 seconds
9 East 250.00 feet to the point of terminus, in Lake
10 County, Illinois.
11 Section 10. The Secretary of Transportation shall obtain
12 a certified copy of this Act within 60 days after its
13 effective date and, upon receipt of the required payment,
14 shall record the certified document in the Recorder's Office
15 of Lake County, Illinois.
16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.".
