 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1436

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 1436,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    with  reference  to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment
 4    No. 2, as follows:
 5    on page 4, line 19, after "2003,", by  inserting  "except  as
 6    otherwise  provided  in  subsection (c-15) of this Section,";
 7    and

 8    on page  9,  immediately  below  line  2,  by  inserting  the
 9    following:
10        "(c-15)  This  subsection  (c-15)  applies  to  the first
11    period of an  administrative  certificate's  validity  during
12    which  the  holder  becomes  subject  to  the requirements of
13    subsection (c-10) of this Section if the certificate has less
14    than 5 years' validity or has less  than  5  years'  validity
15    remaining  when the certificate holder becomes subject to the
16    requirements of  subsection  (c-10)  of  this  Section.  With
17    respect   to   this  period,  the  100  hours  of  continuing
18    professional development and 5 activities per validity period
19    specified in clause (A) of paragraph (2) of subsection (c-10)
20    of this Section shall instead be deemed to mean 20  hours  of
21    continuing professional development and one activity per year
22    of  the  certificate's validity or remaining validity and the
23    36 continuing professional  development  hours  specified  in

 1    clause  (B)  of  paragraph  (2)  of subsection (c-10) of this
 2    Section shall instead be deemed  to  mean  completion  of  at
 3    least  one  course  per year of the certificate's validity or
 4    remaining validity. If the certificate has 3 or  fewer  years
 5    of  validity  or  3 or fewer years of validity remaining, the
 6    certificate holder is not subject  to  the  requirements  for
 7    submission  and approval of plans for continuing professional
 8    development  described  in  paragraphs  (1)  through  (4)  of
 9    subsection (c-10) of this Section with respect to that period
10    of the certificate's validity."; and

11    on page 9, by replacing "(c-15)" with "(c-20)".
