1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1540
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1540 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
4 "Section 5. The Solicitation for Charity Act is amended
5 by changing Section 23 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 460/23)
7 Sec. 23. Charitable Advisory Council. As a part of
8 charitable trust enforcement and public disclosure, a task
9 force composed of citizens chosen by the Attorney General to
10 be known as the Attorney General's Charitable Advisory
11 Council shall be and is hereby formed for a 3-year period.
12 This Advisory Council shall study issues of charitable
13 giving, volunteerism, and fundraising in this State. The
14 Advisory Council members shall serve without compensation,
15 and the expenses of the Council may be paid for out of the
16 Illinois Charity Bureau Fund in an amount not to exceed
17 $10,000 per year and in the discretion of the Attorney
18 General.

20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
21 becoming law.".
