1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2035
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 2035 on page 12,
3 line 14, after "may", by inserting "establish a program to";
4 and
5 on page 12, line 15, by inserting after "if" the following:
6 ",as of the date of the election at which the person serves
7 as a judge,"; and
8 on page 12, by replacing lines 17 and 18 with the following:
9 "(1) is a U.S. citizen;" and
10 on page 12, line 34, by inserting after "precinct." the
11 following:
12 "Prior to appointment, a judge qualifying under this
13 subsection must certify in writing to the election authority
14 the political party the judge chooses to affiliate with.
15 Students appointed as election judges under this
16 subsection shall not be counted as absent from school on the
17 day they serve as judges."; and
18 on page 14, line 25, after "may", by inserting "establish a
19 program to"; and
20 on page 14, line 26, by inserting after "if" the following:
21 ", as of the date of the election at which the person serves

2 on page 14, by replacing lines 28 and 29 with the following:

4 on page 15, line 7, by replacing "13-2.1 and 13-2.2" with
5 "13-2.1, 13-2.2, and 14-4.1"; and
6 on page 15, line 11, by inserting after "precinct." the
7 following:
8 "Prior to appointment, a judge qualifying under this
9 subsection must certify in writing to the election authority
