House Sponsors: FLOWERS. Short description: DCFS-PLACEMENT-RECORDS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Children and Family Services Act. Requires the Department of Children and Family Services to also provide the child's birth certificate and social security number to the caretaker upon placement of a child. Provides that in an emergency placement of a child, the required documentation shall be provided within 8 working days after the placement. Amends the Illinois School Student Records Act to provide that when the Department places a child and requests the school records, the school district has 5 working days (now 10 days) to send the records to the new school district.
