Requires the Illinois Supreme Court to establish a Division of Probation Services (now the Supreme Court may establish the Division). JUDICIAL NOTE No decrease or increase in the number of judges needed. STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE (DCCA) SB460 fails to create a State mandate. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Defines "technical violation". Amends the Pretrial Services Act. Eliminates provisions that require pretrial services agency personnel to be full-time employees. Amends the Probation and Probation Officers Act. Provides that the oath of a probation officer shall be taken before the chief judge or his or her designee (rather than the county clerk). Permits a person who has been elected to and is holding office on the effective date of this amendatory Act who has been convicted of one of those offenses before being elected to the current term in that office to hold that office and to be elected to additional terms in that office.
