1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1878, AS AMENDED
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1878, as amended
3 as follows:
4 in Section 5, in Sec. 7-103, in paragragh (61), by replacing
5 the final period with the following:
6 ";
7 (62) For a period of 24 months after the effective
8 date of this amendatory Act of 1998, by the City of
9 Highland Park for the acquisition of certain properties
10 for redevelopment purposes within those areas located
11 within the corporate limits of the City of Highland Park
12 designated as the Downtown Tax Increment Redevelopment
13 Area, the North Central Business District Redevelopment
14 Area, and the Skokie Highway Corridor Business District
15 Redevelopment Area, described as follows:
16 PARCEL A: Beginning at a point at the intersection
17 of Green Bay Road and First Street; thence proceeding
18 southeasterly along First Street to its intersection with
19 Elm Place; thence proceeding southwesterly on Elm Place
20 to its intersection with Second Street; thence proceeding
21 southeasterly along Second Street to its intersection
22 with Central Avenue, thence southwesterly along Central
23 Avenue to its intersection with Green Bay Road; thence

1 northwesterly along Green Bay Road to its intersection
2 with Elm Place; thence northeasterly along Elm Place to
3 its intersection with Second Street; thence northwesterly
4 along Second Street to its intersection with Green Bay
5 Road; thence north along the west line of Green Bay Road
6 to the point of beginning; and
7 PARCEL B: The area bounded by the north line of
8 Half Day Road (Ill. State Route 22), a line 3,000 feet
9 east of and parallel to the center line of Skokie Valley
10 Road (Ill. State Route 41), the south line of Park Avenue
11 West, and a line 1,600 feet west of and parallel to the
12 center line of Skokie Valley Road (Ill. State Route 41),
13 and bounded by the west line of Skokie Valley Road (Ill.
14 State Route 41), a line 3,000 feet south of and parallel
15 to the center line of Deerfield Road/Central Avenue, a
16 line 1,000 feet west of and parallel to the center line
17 of the Union Pacific right-of-way, the south line of
18 Richfield Avenue, the west line of Deerfield Road, and a
19 line extended north of the west line of Deerfield Road to
20 a point of intersection with the west line of Skokie
21 Valley Road (Ill. State Route 41).".
