1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1853
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1853, AS AMENDED,
3 by replacing the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Public Utilities Act by adding
5 Section 5-110."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by
9 adding Section 5-110 as follows:
10 (220 ILCS 5/5-110 new)
11 Sec. 5-110. Disclosure of customer information to law
12 enforcement agencies. A public utility shall not disclose
13 customer record information to a law enforcement agency
14 unless the law enforcement agency requests the customer
15 record information in writing, specifying that the
16 information is necessary for a law enforcement purpose.
17 Customer record information includes, but is not limited to,
18 social security numbers, public aid numbers, and employment
19 data. Nothing in this Section shall affect the Commission's
20 access to information under this Act or any other law.

1 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
2 becoming law.".
