1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 776
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 776 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963
5 by changing Section 110-13."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is
9 amended by changing Section 110-13 as follows:
10 (725 ILCS 5/110-13) (from Ch. 38, par. 110-13)
11 Sec. 110-13. Persons prohibited from furnishing bail
12 security or supervising bail bond conditions.
13 (a) No attorney at law practicing in this State and no
14 official authorized to admit another to bail or to accept
15 bail shall furnish any part of any security for bail in any
16 criminal action or any proceeding nor shall any such person
17 act as surety for any accused admitted to bail.
18 (b) The court shall not order attorneys at law
19 practicing in this State or other officials authorized to
20 admit another to bail to supervise or monitor the conditions
21 of bail bonds.
