Amend Senate Bill 681 by replacing 3 the title with the following: 4 "AN ACT relating to education, amending named Acts."; and 5 by inserting immediately below the enacting clause the 6 following: 7 "Section 3. The School Code is amended by changing 8 Section 27-24.5 as follows: 9 (105 ILCS 5/27-24.5) (from Ch. 122, par. 27-24.5) 10 Sec. 27-24.5. Submission of claims. Claims for 11 reimbursement under this Act shall be submitted in duplicate 12 by each district to the State Board prior to October 13September1 of each year on such forms and in such manner as 14 shall be prescribed by the State Board. In addition to the 15 claim form, the district shall report on forms prescribed by 16 the State Board, on an ongoing basis, a list of students by 17 name, age, sex, serial number of the driver's license held by 18 the student during instruction, and instructor operator's 19 license number those students who have taken the 20 behind-the-wheel instruction or the classroom instruction or 21 both with the status of the course completion.Such claim-2- LRB9000948THpkam 1shall list the name and age of each student, excluding each2resident of the district over age 55, for whom claim is made3who finished the entire course after July 1 of the preceding4calendar year and prior to July 1 of the year in which the5claim is submitted and the serial number of the driver's6license held by the student during the time he was enrolled7in the course. Such claim also shall list the name and age of8each student, excluding residents of the district over age955, for whom claim is made for such period for the classroom10instruction part only of such course and for the practice11driving part of such course.12 The State shall not reimburse any district for any 13 student who has repeated any part of the course more than 14 once, or who did not hold such a valid license during the15period he was a student in the practice driving part of the16course,or who did not meet the age requirements of this Act 17 during the period that the studenthewas instructeda18studentin any part of the drivers education course; nor 19 shall the State reimburse any district for any resident of 20 the district over age 55. 21 (Source: P.A. 88-9.)".
