90_SB0423ccr001 SRS90SB0423MNbmccr1 1 90TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2 CONFERENCE COMMITTEE REPORT 3 ON SENATE BILL 423 4 ------------------------------------------------------------- 5 ------------------------------------------------------------- 6 To the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the 7 House of Representatives: 8 We, the conference committee appointed to consider the 9 differences between the houses in relation to House Amendment 10 No. 2 to Senate Bill 423, recommend the following: 11 (1) that the House recede from House Amendment No. 2; 12 and 13 (2) that Senate Bill 423 be amended as follows: 14 on page 22, by replacing lines 19 through 26 with the 15 following: 16 "(d) Coverage. The health benefit coverage provided 17 under this Section shall be a program of health, dental, and 18 vision benefits. 19 The program of health benefits under this Section may 20 include any or all of the benefit limitations, including but 21 not limited to a reduction in benefits based on eligibility 22 for federal medicare benefits, that are provided under 23 subsection (a) of Section 6 of this Act for other health 24 benefit programs under this Act."; and 25 on page 22, in line 31, by inserting after the period the 26 following: 27 "The Director shall also determine premiums that will allow 28 for the establishment of an actuarially sound reserve for 29 this program."; and 30 on page 23, by deleting lines 25 through 29; and 31 on page 24, in line 7, before the period, by inserting "and 32 the establishment of a program reserve"; and -2- SRS90SB0423MNbmccr1 1 on page 24, in line 34, after "on", by inserting "or prior 2 to"; and 3 on page 25, in line 3, before the period, by inserting "and 4 the affected retiree"; and 5 on page 25, in line 24, by replacing "0.35%" with "0.50%"; 6 and 7 on page 26, in line 26, by replacing "0.35%" with "0.50%". 8 Submitted on , 1997. 9 ______________________________ _____________________________ 10 Senator Fitzgerald Representative Hannig 11 ______________________________ _____________________________ 12 Senator Madigan Representative Murphy, H. 13 ______________________________ _____________________________ 14 Senator Walsh, T.
