1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 140
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 140 on page 3, in
3 lines 7 through 10, by deleting "and upon the governing
4 authority of every municipality contiguous to the proposed
5 site or contiguous to the municipality in which the proposed
6 site is to be located,"; and
7 on page 4, in line 9, by replacing ", such hearing to be
8 preceded by" with ". No later than 14 days prior to such
9 hearing notice shall be, such hearing to be preceded by"; and
10 on page 4, in line 10, by replacing "notice" with "notice";
11 and
12 on page 4, in line 11, by replacing "notice" with "notice
13 delivered"; and
14 on page 4, in line 16, before "and to", by inserting "to the
15 county board of the county where the proposed site is to be
16 located, if the proposed site is located within the
17 boundaries of a municipality,"; and
18 on page 4, in line 19, after "located", by inserting "and, if
19 the proposed site is located in a municipality, members or
20 representatives of the county board of a county in which the
21 proposed site is to be located";and

1 on page 8, in lines 17 and 18, by replacing "upon becoming
2 law" with "January 1, 1998".
