1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2326
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 2326 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Children and Family Services Act by
5 changing Section 35.3."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Children and Family Services Act is
9 amended by changing Section 35.3 as follows:
10 (20 ILCS 505/35.3)
11 Sec. 35.3. (a) Confidentiality of foster parent
12 identifying information. Because foster parents accept
13 placements into their residences, it is the policy of the
14 State of Illinois to protect foster parents' addresses and
15 telephone numbers from disclosure. The Department shall
16 adopt rules to effectuate this policy and provide sufficient
17 prior notice of any authorized disclosure for foster parents
18 to seek an order of protection under Section 2-25 of the
19 Juvenile Court Act of 1987.
20 (b) A person to whom disclosure of a foster parent's
21 name, address, or telephone number is made under this Section

1 shall not redisclose that information except as provided in
2 this Act or the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Any person who
3 knowingly and willfully rediscloses a foster parent's name,
4 address, or telephone number in violation of this Section is
5 guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.

7 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
8 becoming law.".
