Requires that every can, bottle, or other container of apple juice sold in this State be labeled to indicate whether the apple juice in the container is pasteurized or unpasteurized. Effective immediately. LRB9004787DJcd LRB9004787DJcd 1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act 2 by adding Section 9.5. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act is 6 amended by adding Section 9.5 as follows: 7 (410 ILCS 620/9.5 new) 8 Sec. 9.5. Apple juice. Every can, bottle, or other 9 container of apple juice sold in this State shall be labeled 10 to indicate whether the apple juice in the container is 11 pasteurized or unpasteurized. 12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 13 becoming law.
