The Uniform Peace Officers' Disciplinary Act 6 is amended by changing Section 3.2 as follows: 7 (50 ILCS 725/3.2) (from Ch. 85, par. 2555) 8 Sec. 3.2. Notice. No officer shall be subjected to 9 interrogation without first being informed in writing of the 10 nature of the investigation and his or her rights under this 11 Act, in person or by certified mail, not less than 3 days 12 before the day of the interrogation, unless this requirement 13 is waived by the officer being interrogated. If an 14 administrative proceeding is instituted, the officer shall be 15 informed beforehand of the names of all complainants. The 16 information shall be sufficient as to reasonably apprise the 17 officer of the nature of the investigation. 18 (Source: P.A. 83-981.) 19 Section 99. Effective date.
