construction of the Act.

1 AN ACT to amend the Metropolitan Water Reclamation
2 District Act by adding Section 65.1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District
6 Act is amended by adding Section 65.1 as follows:
7 (70 ILCS 2605/65.1 new)
8 Sec. 65.1. Reservoir intake guidelines. No reservoir
9 may be constructed or operated in Lyons Township except in
10 the area described as follows:
11 That part of Sections 14, 15, and 22, all in Lyons
12 Township, Range 12 East of the Third Principal Meridian
13 in Cook County, Illinois, which lie between the Des
14 Plaines River to the north and the Sanitary and Ship
15 Canal on the south, and is bordered on the east by the
16 Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad, and on the west by a line
17 which is parallel to and 7,500 feet to the southwest of
18 said railroad, said 7,500 feet measured parallel to the
19 Sanitary and Ship Canal; said westerly boundary being
20 approximately 7,000 feet northeasterly of the centerline
21 of La Grange Road, at the approximate midpoint between
22 the Des Plaines River and Sanitary and Ship Canal, said
23 7,000 feet measured parallel to the Sanitary and Ship
24 Canal.
25 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
26 becoming law.
