Provides that a violation of this requirement is a petty offense with a fine of $500. The Medical Patient Rights Act is amended by 6 adding Section 6 as follows: 7 (410 ILCS 50/6 new) 8 Sec. 6. Identification badges. A health care facility 9 licensed in this State shall require each employee of or 10 volunteer for the facility, including a student, who examines 11 or treats a patient or resident of the facility to wear an 12 identification badge that readily discloses the first name, 13 licensure status, if any, and staff position of the person 14 examining or treating the patient or resident.
