1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 726
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 726 on page 2, by
3 replacing lines 18 through 24 with the following:
4 "(x) in the case of a sanitary landfill, waste
5 incinerator, waste treatment facility, or waste disposal
6 site, the facility is not located above geologic materials
7 having a rating from A1 to C5 for potential for contamination
8 of a known aquifer, according to the Illinois State
9 Geological Survey's Plate 1, Potential for Contamination of
10 Shallow Aquifers from Land Burial of Municipal Wastes
11 (Circular 532); or in the case of a waste transfer station or
12 waste storage site, the facility is not located above
13 geologic materials having a rating from A1 to B4 for
14 potential for contamination of a known aquifer, also
15 according to the Illinois State Geological Survey's Plate 1
16 (Circular 532)."; and
17 on page 8, below line 15, by inserting the following:
18 "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
19 becoming law.".
