1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 318
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 318 on page 1, line
3 26, after "impose" by inserting "or increase"; and
4 on page 1, line 28, by replacing "Code and shall" with
5 "Code."; and
6 on page 2, by replacing lines 1 and 2 with "For purposes of
7 imposing the tax, the question shall be in substantially the
8 following form:
9 Shall the (name of city, village, or incorporated
10 town) be authorized to impose a retailers' occupation
11 tax, a service occupation tax, and a use tax at the rate
12 of (rate) for expenditures on capital projects?
13 For purposes of increasing the tax, the question shall be in
14 substantially the following form:
15 Shall the (name of city, village, or incorporated
16 town) be authorized to increase the capital projects
17 retailers' occupation tax, service occupation tax, and
18 use tax from the rate of (current rate) to the rate of
19 (increased rate)?"; and
20 on page 2, line 3 before "If" by inserting "Votes on the
21 question shall be recorded as "Yes" or "No"."; and
22 on page 2, line 5, after "imposed" by inserting "or

2 on page 2, line 6, after "tax," by inserting "increasing the
3 tax,"; and
4 on page 2, line 10, after "imposition" by inserting "or
5 increase"; and
6 on page 2, line 13, after "additional" by inserting "or
