1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 297
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 297, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment
4 No. 1, on page 2, line 22, before "means", by inserting
5 "either"; and
6 on page 2, line 23, after "society", by inserting ", but not
7 both,"; and
8 on page 2, line 25, after the period, by inserting the
9 following:
10 ""Loss of society" means the mutual benefits that each family
11 member receives from the other's continued existence,
12 including love, affection, care, attention, companionship,
13 comfort, guidance, and protection. "Family" includes spouse,
14 children, parents, brothers, and sisters."; and
15 on page 3, lines 27 and 34, by replacing "January", each time
16 it appears, with "July"; and
17 on page 4, line 3, before "loss", by inserting "either"; and
18 on page 4, line 4, before "resulting", by inserting "or loss
19 of society"; and
20 on page 4, line 5, by deleting "Recovery under this Act for";
21 and
