| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Raymond C. Manns of Godfrey, who passed | 4 | | away on April 21, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Manns was born on July 2, 1921 to William | 6 | | and Theresa (nee Wegener) Manns; he served in the Army-Air | 7 | | Corps during World War II; he married Helen Novotny on | 8 | | September 23, 1950 at St. Alphonsus Church in Brighton; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Manns retired from the Mississippi Lime | 10 | | Co. after over 40 years of service; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Manns was a lifelong member of St. Mary's | 12 | | Catholic Church in Alton; he loved to paint and play piano and | 13 | | sang in the church choir for over 50 years; he also enjoyed | 14 | | crossword puzzles, reading, and bowling; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Manns was preceded in death by his | 16 | | parents; his 3 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law and a | 17 | | brother-in-law, Donald and Gloria Manns, Harold and Marian | 18 | | Manns, Bob Manns, and "Doc" Graham;
and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Raymond Manns is survived by his wife, Helen; his | 20 | | 3 children and their spouses, Mary and Ken Wendle, Susan and |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Raymond C. Manns, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
