| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of MaryAnn "Mopsie" Horn of Alton, who | 4 | | passed away on February 24, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, MaryAnn Horn was born in Jerseyville to Michael M. | 6 | | and Kathleen (Shea) Accario on June 28, 1932; she graduated | 7 | | from Marquette Catholic High School in 1950; she later | 8 | | graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing; she married James | 9 | | F. Horn on October 24, 1953; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, MaryAnn Horn worked as a Registered Nurse for many | 11 | | years and also served as a mentor to many younger nurses at | 12 | | various facilities, including Saint Anthony's Health Center; | 13 | | she also worked as the office nurse for Dr. Thomas Morrissey, | 14 | | M.D.; she retired from Rosewood Care Center at the age of 80; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, MaryAnn Horn was a member of St. Mary's Catholic | 17 | | Church; she was an avid reader and enjoyed feeding and watching | 18 | | the birds; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, MaryAnn Horn was preceded in death by her parents; | 20 | | her husband, James; her son, Tom Horn; and her siblings, | 21 | | Michael M. Accario and Patricia Northway; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, MaryAnn Horn is survived by her daughter, Ann M. | 2 | | Horn Parker; her sons, Jim (Cheri) Horn, Tim (Vicki) Horn, Matt | 3 | | (Laurie) Horn, Dennis (Jenny) Horn, and Chris (Dana) Horn; her | 4 | | daughter-in-law, Cindy Horn; her brother-in-law, Allen | 5 | | Northway; her sister-in-law, Bonnie Horn; her grandchildren, | 6 | | Jennifer (Tracy), Jimmy, Jana (Rick), Jeff, Kinzye, Bobby | 7 | | (Mike), Chris, Stephanie (Matt), Sam (Jessica), Marykate, | 8 | | Georgia, Jake, John, Adam, and Zach; her many | 9 | | great-grandchildren; and her other extended family and many | 10 | | dear friends; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | MaryAnn "Mopsie" Horn and extend our sincere condolences to her | 14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 15 | | further
