AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2348

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2348 on page 1, immediately below line 10, by inserting the following:

"All school districts shall provide, in addition to and not substituting recess, at least one half-period of the school day for relaxation activities that enhance the mental and physical health of students. Relaxation activities may include, but are not limited to: yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, walking, quiet time, guided relaxation techniques, in person conversation, stretching, and other stress relieving activities. The school district shall provide appropriate instruction and supervision for these activities where appropriate.".
