1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1960
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1960 on page 3, by
3 replacing lines 15 through 22 with the following:
4 "(a) A person may operate a low-speed electric scooter
5 where the operation of bicycles is permitted, including, but
6 not limited to, bicycle lanes and bicycle paths, unless the
7 municipality, county, or local authority with jurisdiction
8 prohibits the use of low-speed electric scooters or a specific
9 class of low-speed electric scooters on that path, and shall
10 have all of the rights and shall be subject to all of the
11 duties applicable to the rider of a bicycle under this Code,
12 except as otherwise provided in this Section, and except for
13 provisions that by their nature can have no application,
14 including subsection (a) of Section 11-1503.".
