1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1499
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1499 on page 1,
3 line 10, by inserting "3.03-1, "after "3.03,"; and

4 on page 3, line 7, by inserting "3.03-1," after "3.03,"; and

5 on page 3, line 9, by inserting after after "2012." the
6 following:
7 "In a petition for forfeiture prior to trial alleging a
8 violation of Section 3 of this Act, the burden is on the
9 prosecution to prove by a preponderance of the evidence that
10 the person arrested violated Section 3 of this Act and the
11 court shall make a finding that the person arrested poses a
12 health or safety risk to the companion animals seized."; and

13 on page 3, line 22, by inserting "3.03-1," after "3.03,".
