1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1291
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1291 by replacing
3 line 16 on page 1 through line 2 on page 2 with the following:

4 "Sec. 10.4. Ten-year limitation. In the event a grievance
5 resolution exceeds the limitation period of 5 years, a State
6 agency attempting to collect outstanding health benefits
7 premiums from a covered employee who was reinstated to
8 employment status after a grievance resolution shall provide
9 the employee with written notice and demand for payment of the
10 premiums within 10 years of when the State agency's right to
11 collect the premium first accrued. Otherwise, the State agency
12 is barred from attempting to collect such premiums.".
