1     AN ACT concerning State government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law
5 of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by
6 adding Section 2105-180 as follows:

7     (20 ILCS 2105/2105-180 new)
8     Sec. 2105-180. Licensure; background checks. The
9 Department shall not require criminal background information
10 in instances where the Department has already stated that the
11 criminal background information cannot be used against an
12 applicant for licensure under the relevant licensing Act.
