1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2526
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2526 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
5 Sections 5.992 and 6z-139 as follows:

6     (30 ILCS 105/5.992 new)
7     Sec. 5.992. The Opioid Antagonist Bulk Purchase Fund.

9     Sec. 6z-139. The Opioid Antagonist Bulk Purchase Fund.
10     (a) The Opioid Antagonist Bulk Purchase Fund is created as
11 a special fund in the State treasury. The Fund may receive
12 gifts, grants, bequests, donations, and moneys from any other
13 lawful source, public or private. Any interest earned on
14 moneys in the Fund shall be deposited into the Fund.
15     (b) Subject to appropriation, moneys in the Opioid

1 Antagonist Bulk Purchase Fund shall be used by the Department
2 of Human Services for bulk purchasing of opioid antagonists
3 and for the making of grants for the distribution of opioid
4 antagonists.
5     (c) The Department of Human Services shall adopt rules
6 establishing requirements for the distribution of grant moneys
7 and the determination of which persons or entities are
8 eligible for and most in need of those grants, and it may adopt
9 any other rules necessary to implement this Section and
10 administer the Fund.

11     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
12 becoming law.".
