1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1945
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1945 on page 2,
3 immediately below line 3, by inserting the following:

4 "(d) Notwithstanding any provision of this Section to the
5 contrary, no person who as been convicted of a violent crime
6 shall be eligible for the preference provided under this
7 Section. For the purposes of this Section, "violent crime" has
8 the same meaning as provided under Section 3 of the Rights of
9 Crime Victims and Witnesses Act.".
