AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1829

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1829 on page 3, line 9, after "physician,", by inserting "optometrist (if the person qualifies because of a visual disability),"; and

on page 6, line 8, by replacing "(d-7) In" with "(d-7) For taxable years 2021 through 2026, in"; and

on page 6, by replacing lines 12 and 13 with the following: "for the exemption and presented proof of eligibility,"; and

on page 6, by replacing lines 15 through 18 with the following: "application as required under subsection (d) above. A chief county assessment officer shall not"; and

on page 6, by replacing lines 20 and 21 with the following: "if: the physician, advanced practice registered nurse, optometrist, or physician assistant who examined the claimant determined that the disability is not expected to continue for 12 months or more; the exemption has been deemed erroneous since the last application; or the claimant has reported their ineligibility to".
