| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jon W. Cherry of Benld, who passed away | 4 | | on November 10, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jon Cherry was born in Litchfield to Wesley | 6 | | Charles Cherry and Mary Ann (Pickerill) Scopel on December 30, | 7 | | 1964; he married Christie D. Alexander in Carlinville on July | 8 | | 2, 1998; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jon Cherry was a laborer for Local 338 of Wood | 10 | | River; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jon Cherry was a member of the Croatian Fraternal | 12 | | Union 217 of Benld and the Ben-Gil Sports Boosters; he enjoyed | 13 | | bowling and fishing; he was a family man; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Jon Cherry was preceded in death by his father and | 15 | | his brother, Donald J. Cherry; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jon Cherry is survived by his mother, Mary Ann | 17 | | (Bruce) Scopel; his wife, Christie; his children, Joshua | 18 | | (Kylee) and Kendra; his grandchildren, Dean Wesley, Vanessa | 19 | | Grace, Adalynn Nicole, Henley Ann, Paisley Renee, and Jonah | 20 | | Thomas; his siblings, William R. (Florence) Cherry and Melanie |
