| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Timothy Gilbert "Tim" Douglas of Moline, | 4 | | who passed away on March 20, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tim Douglas was born in Moline to Gilbert Lee and | 6 | | Helen Marie (Lafferty) Douglas on May 13, 1963; he graduated | 7 | | from Moline High School in 1981; he married Karin Schimanek in | 8 | | Denmark in 1985; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Tim Douglas served in the United States Army for | 10 | | 15 years; he was a cavalry scout in Iraq during Desert Storm | 11 | | and was awarded several medals and ribbons; after his | 12 | | retirement form the Army, he worked as an engineer for DM&E | 13 | | Railroad for 16 years; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Tim Douglas was a proud military man from a | 15 | | military family; he was devoted to his family, loved his dogs, | 16 | | Lola and Sabot, and enjoyed woodcarving, playing the guitar, | 17 | | traveling, and taking long motorcycle tripes with his wife; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Tim Douglas was preceded in death by his father | 19 | | and his brother, Kevin Douglas; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Tim Douglas is survived by his wife, Karin; his |

| 1 | | sons, Steven Douglas and Kevin (Madison) Douglas; his grandson, | 2 | | Daniel Douglas; his mother, Helen Douglas; and his siblings and | 3 | | their spouses, Mary Frances and Jonathan Miles, Trudy and Terry | 4 | | O'Melia, Patrick and Sheri Douglas, and Kenneth and Reesa | 5 | | Douglas; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Timothy Gilbert "Tim" Douglas and extend our sincere | 9 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 10 | | him; and be it further
