SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Nancy Ann Crement of Carpentersville, who passed away on January 9, 2017 at the age of 73; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Crement was born in Chicago to Edwin and Irma Schultz on February 13, 1943; she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, David E. Crement; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Crement dedicated her entire life to helping others with all the positivity and enthusiasm one would expect; she excelled as a drug and alcohol counselor, focusing her talents on working with troubled teens; she also volunteered for many years with the Girl Scouts of America; following her retirement, she served as a substitute teacher for Huntley District 158, which she dearly loved; she was also a member of the Knitters Guild of America; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Crement was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was loved by all who knew her; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Crement was preceded in death by her parents; and her great-granddaughters, Jordyn Schwab and Audrey Schwab; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Crement is survived by her husband; her daughters, Susan Kay Crement and Beverly Ann Smith (Joe Smithwick); her brother, William (Shirley) Stalley; her grandchildren, Joseph (Katlyn) Schwab, Jeremy (Brittany) Schwab, David Myszczcak (Danielle Barnewolt), Zaine and Ava Smithwick; and her great-granddaughter, Joslyn Schwab; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Nancy Ann Crement, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Nancy Crement as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
