AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5758

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5758 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Dual Credit Quality Act is amended by adding Section 35 as follows:

(110 ILCS 27/35 new)

Sec. 35. State campus.

(a) An institution may not offer a dual credit program with a high school in this State if the institution's main campus is not located in this State. The Illinois Community College Board and the Board of Higher Education may not approve an institution to offer dual credit courses if the institution's main campus is not located in this State.

(b) This Section does not apply to an institution offering a program of study that is not offered by another institution in this State.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
